The C.O.W.S. Gil Scott-Heron THE LAST HOLIDAY Part 6

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 6th study session on Gil Scott-Heron's autobiography, The Last Holiday. A poet, author, musician and victim of White Supremacy, Scott-Heron died in 2011. He wrote and performed music that directly addressed black lives and how the System of White Supremacy brutalizes black people. Iconic selections like "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" and "The Bottle" encourage many to credit Scott-Heron as being a hip-hop music founder. Last week's session explained Gil's growing success with Brian Jackson and the Midnight Band. He detailed his relationship with Clive Davis and Arista records - which garnered greater media attention for himself and the band. He again stressed the significance of black journalism - describing his tour of Johnson Publishing company and his respect for Gary Byrd's broadcast expertise. Substance abuse continues to have a critical role in Gil's life - he describes seeing black people consume large quantities of cannabis, cocaine, and liquor. We'll contrast this memoir to other biographies we've covered on the book club - Maya Angelou, Assata Shakur, Malcolm X. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The C.O.W.S. Dr. Vanessa Grubbs Visits Seattle To Discuss Organ Transplants

On Thursday, July 13th, Dr. Vanessa Grubbs visited Seattle, Washington's Third Place Books to discuss her fresh new publication,Hundreds of Interlaced Fingers: A Kidney Doctor's Search for the Perfect Match.Dr. Grubbs describes her black husband's struggle obtaining a kidney transplant and her mission to donate one of her own kidneys to save him. Along the way, Dr. Grubbs describes how Black people are predictably less likely to receive life-saving organ transplants than whites. This book discussion was held in a book store in hyper-White area of Seattle and moderated by a White medical doctor. The Suspected Racist facilitator asked no questions about Racism, which is a central theme of Grubbs's book. Following the presentation, Grubbs spoke with Gus, branded him a "militant," and confessed she had "planned not to talk about racism." Numerous Whites approached Gus following the discussion and feigned nervousness and appreciation for asking questions about Racism. #Tacky INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The C.O.W.S. Workplace Racism 07/13/17

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly forum on Workplace Racism. The purpose for this broadcast is to enhance non-white people's problem-solving ability and to refine how black people think, speak, act and control emotions while on the job. Any listeners who've figured out the perfect method to minimize clashes with White and/or non-white co-workers, sidestep demotions, write-ups, terminations or other violence we experience under Racist labor conditions should immediately call in with specifics. We always value and encourage the experiences of "black entrepreneurs;" please, tell us how being "self-employed" makes your workplace experience better. Several listeners have expressed an interest in forming a group to formulate ideas to help black people in the area of employment. Any listeners with human resource experience are encouraged to inquire about details. We'll hear counter-racist strategies from listeners as well as individual reflections from your own work history. Gus recommends Victims of Racism write down important workplace events. Documenting your thoughts and workplace occurrences is more dependable than memory, and the act of documenting can clarify your thinking. We'll also ask that non-white listeners share critical sections of the policy and procedure from your current place of employment. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The C.O.W.S. Suspected Racist Krystl Tyler Returns

The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of Krystl Tyler. First visiting the program in September 2014, Tyler is a White Woman who took a safari to Ferguson, Missouri after the police killing of unarmed Michael Brown Jr. She processed the killing as another illustration of White Supremacy and used the historic and tragic moment to huckster her book, The Wheat Money. The text details how she, a White Woman, lives a life of relative ease and comfort - getting checks in the mail for doing nothing. Conversely, her Black husband and the father of her daughter is a crack head. With explicit detail, Tyler explains how centuries of deliberate white terrorism orchestrated her husband's substance abuse problems. During her first visit, she admitted that she consciously selected her black husband, victim, to snare his genetic material. It's been nearly three years since we've spoken with Tyler. She reached out to Gus, and asked to return to The C.O.W.S. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade Listen or Call In With Web Based Flash Phone CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The COWS Compensatory Call-In 07/08/17

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We'll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Race Soldiers in the U.S. briefly paused the plantation for the 4th of July festivities. Most black citizens had their view of the fireworks obstructed by the numerous nooses Whites have recently brandished to terrorize and intimidate. White violence been so severe, a black male in Alabama, David Sadler, staged a faux hanging to protest the the barbaric abuse of black people. Fresh after the horrors of Flint, Michigan's water being poisoned, an increasing number of black employees at the Chicago Water Department charge that they've been subjected to a racially poisonous environment, denied seniority, and that black females were targeted for sexually crude verbal attacks. A class action lawsuit has been filed. In Virginia, the Klu Klux Klan has weekend plans for an armed rally in protest of a Confederate statue that's been scheduled for removal. Virginia is an open-carry state. And right on cue for the country's "birthday" and the reminiscing about the nations' halcyon time, Sally Hemings, one of the enslaved and raped black people Thomas Jefferson "owned," will now have her own display at Monticello... which is down the road a bit from the armed KKK rally. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943# The C.O.W.S. archives: http://tiny.cc/76f6p

The C.O.W.S. Gil Scott-Heron THE LAST HOLIDAY Part 5

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 5th study session on Gil Scott-Heron's memoir, The Last Holiday. A poet, author, musician and victim of White Supremacy, Scott-Heron died in 2011. He wrote and performed music that explicitly discussed black lives and how the System of White Supremacy devastates black people. Legendary selections like "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" encourage many to list Scott-Heron as one of the pioneer of hip-hop music. Last week's session explored Gil's leadership of a campus-wide boycott at Lincoln University regarding inadequate health facilities for the students. Gil mobilized black veterans and approximately six hundred HBCU students to forgo classes until the white president and administration vastly improved the school's medical resources. The biography discussed a sizable amount of alcohol and cannabis consumption by Gil and his friends; in fact, alcohol may have contributed to a potentially leathal car crash involving Gil and his friends. In his early 20's, Gil published multiple books and albums, obtained a college degree, and traveled the globe playing music that candidly addressed Racism. We'll compare The Last Holiday to the other biographies inspected on our book club - Maya Angelou, Assata Shakur, Malcolm X. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The C.O.W.S. Compensatory Call-In 07/01/17

#ANTIBLACKNESS During the first full week of summer and days before July 4th, a Mississippi memorial to slain black teen Emmett Till was viciously mutilated. No suspects have been apprehended. Speaking of White Terrorism, the 100-year anniversary of the 1917 East St. Louis "Race Riots" is this holiday weekend. Three years after Ferguson's Michael Brown Jr. was killed, Missourians are reflecting on the improvements in "race relations" one century after Whites slaughtered more than a hundred black females, males and children, according to some historians estimates. Tennis legend John McEnroe provided another brilliant illustration of White culture and the emasculation of black females by comparing Serena Williams to male players. And the dangerous trend of homicidal White motorists continues, as Bianca Nikol Roberson, a black teenager who just graduated high school, was shot and killed by an unknown Race Soldier. The White murderer fled the scene and has not been apprehended or identified. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943# The C.O.W.S. archives: http://tiny.cc/76f6p

The C.O.W.S. Gil Scott-Heron THE LAST HOLIDAY Part 4

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 4th study session on Gil Scott-Heron's memoir, The Last Holiday. A poet, author, musician and victim of White Supremacy, Scott-Heron died in 2011. He wrote and performed music that explicitly addressed black lives and how the System of White Supremacy brutalizes black people. Iconic selections like "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" and "White on the Moon" encourage many to list Scott-Heron as one of the founders of hip-hop music. Last week's session described how Gil's mother adjusted to being diabetic and how his mother's health scare made him leave his interview for the exclusive white high school in New York. Gil was accepted to the new school and declared that not one of students or faculty was Racist. He did take time to vividly detail a White instructor who hoped to have Scott-Heron tarred and feathered, or at least stuck with a week of detention, for playing "boogie woogie" music on the expensive school piano. After high school, Gil matriculated to Lincoln University, an HBCU in Pennsylvania. With a White president at the helm, the school became coed one year before Gil's 1967 freshman year. Gil said he was partly motivated to complete his first book, The Vulture, so that he could showoff to all his black classmates, friends and family members - corroborating Mr. Neely Fuller Jr.'s concern about the prevalence and worthlessness of showing off to other black people. We'll compare The Last Holiday to the other biographies covered on our book club - Maya Angelou, Assata Shakur, Malcolm X. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#
