My goal with this is to help you think about the details in the images you plan on capturing or are capturing. I want you to hear what I am saying the settings are, what the lighting is, where the subject is, where the details are and build the picture in your mind all before I show you the image.

Welcome to what I am tentatively calling FRO RANTS! FRO RANTS are where I sit down and discuss a specific topic as an audio only podcast.
In this FRO RANT I discuss the death of the photography school. This rant was brought on by the news that Antonelli Institute will be closing it’s doors after the next year.
That brought on the question “do you need to go to photography school to be a photographer”.

Last show when we discussed not doing video a ton of you guys wrote in and said don’t get rid of video. To clear that discussion up, I was never planning on doing away with the video, just cutting down on how many angles.
The goal is to be able to live edit the show so pretty much right after we finish recording it could be good to go out into the world. We are testing a bunch of different solutions and we will see what we end up with soon.

The "FAKE" Photo News story i'm talking about starts at 42:30 of this episode.
I saw the story, I was sent the story by numerous people and I chose not to comment on it. It was so clearly fake that I didn't want to discuss it. But, since so many people wanted to hear my take and Stephen brought it up, I discussed it.
RAWtalk is evolving, the channel is evolving and we need to make a few decisions in regards to the future of RAWtalk. We love the discussions but I can not see spending the man power to edit and make each episode in it's current form.
