How do you a review a book that was written in the late 1850s and was never really edited because the author passed away during his travel? You take it as a testimony of true adventure travel and marvel at the observations by said traveler, Henry Mouhot. I read the book before visiting Cambodia (and

An excellent delve into travel, during a completely different lifetime. It takes some overlooking of the dated language and colonialist style, but there’s no avoiding the seeing this incredible during through a totally different period whilst Asia was untouched.
