These Mexicans seemed to be full of good nature, and so they were, with fire, food and music in plenty, but now that he had been their prisoner Ned never forgot how that dormant and Spanish strain of cruelty in their natures could flame high under the influence of passion. I read this series of books when I was in the 7th grade & never forgot the name of each book, the name of the author, nor the name of the main characters in the book. If you are from Texas, you won't mind hearing how brave and strong the men are. How they overcame miraculous odds with some rather kinky twisty plot lines. If you are not from Texas, you will likely think it all very trite and self-serving. But then we don't really care what you think.
