The White Rocking Horse and the Elephant, who wore roller skates, were close together, making their way as fast as they could toward the elevators. This was the half-way mark of the race. The two animals must turn around and come back to the toy counter before it would be known which was the faster. Just now they seemed to be even.

You might call this book the original "Toy Story" for many of the premises are the same. It was fun seeing the toys interact with one another both in the toy store and in their new homes. I think that children will really love this little book.

This is a cute story about a rocking horse that lives in a department store until he is purchased for a little boy at Christmas. As with other toys, he comes to life when no human eyes are on him, although he can think all the time. The two things I found disappointing were that the formatting was a
