It's a very good summary of the book. I think that the author put in a bit of his own interpretation when writing it. It seemed to me that sometimes he even tried to make excuses for the author being a product of his environment. Anyway, I read this book because my 5th grade students are reading it.
I read this story with my 4th grader for school (we Virtual School). We liked it, this adaptation was pretty easy to understand. There were some parts we had to read a few times to get. But all in all it was a pretty good book :-)
