very good compilation ....it includes maupassant,s stories on multiple topics....worth read book

I started this book a long time ago, put it aside, and then could not remember where I had stopped, so I reread it over several months. Most of the short stories take place during the Prussian war and occupation or in Paris. I like his writing and found the book entertaining.
