A much revered and loved work by Tagore, is supposedly a multi layered play with deep symbolism. However, to me, it came across average work which captures the longings and world view of a sick child. Scholars have tried to find meaning behind actions and dialogues where none exists. Average read.

This play in three acts was written in Bengal in 1911, not long after Tagore lost his son, daughter and wife to disease.
