This is the third and final novel in the Emma McChesney series. The series is really quite excellent (4+ star). Having never heard of the series before; this series was my introduction to both the series and Edna Ferber's writings. I highly recommend spending time with both Edna & Emma.

I enjoyed this almost much as the first volume of the trilogy.
I guess I didn't read the introductory blurb because the romance came as pleasant surprise. But my real interest, as always was in the strength and ingenuity, and character development of the protagonists.

The third and final novella of the Emma McChesney series. A satisfying ending although clearly Emma has more of her beloved work ahead of her.
