Loved it. Clear concise explanations and a great overview of engineering, business, and lifestyles at the beginning of the twentieth century. Railroads were a major force of change not only in travel, but virtually every aspect of life. Quite an entertaining and educational read.

A Great book. It gives a clean outline on the engineering, art, hospitality and business of Railway. One of the key elements that contributed to the success of capitalism, European, American imperialism and the agricultural revolution of the 20th century.
