Enjoyed this book very much after a slow start. Great adventure tale and love story. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
1845. The first part of the Littlepage Manuscripts trilogy, concerning the anti-rent wars in the USA, this has a very slow build up in a much less modern tone than Fenimore Cooper had been using by this point in his life, it nevertheless kicks into high gear about half way in, with some brutal actio
