EPISODE 261: How to Rock a Relationship with Rockhouse Motion

Hello folks, on this episode of Gritty Bowmen I was able to hang out with my friends from Rockhouse motion--Aaron Hitchins, Dustin Lutt and Logan Ross. Sometimes you meet someone who’s work you’ve admired. Or an individual you’ved looked up to because of the message they’ve shared or the principles they stand for. And so in your mind you’ve built them up into something special--and then you meet them and you’re utterly disappointed. They’re not who you thought they were and you feel totally let down. BUT, then there’s the opposite… you meet that person and they’re even cooler than you expected. They’re a breath of fresh air and you feel fortunate to have met them. Well… that’s how I feel about Rockhouse Motion--they’re remarkably talented, quirky, creative, deep-thinking, down-to-earth folks that I feel blessed to know. On this episode of Gritty Bowmen we talk about Logan’s hunting season--being a new hunter who has never killed an animal; we talk about her thoughts and experiences from this past season. Dustin shares his thoughts on having a wife how hunts. And we learn a little more about the stark differences in personality between Dustin and Aaron and how they hunt differently. This is a late night conversation in a hotel room after pulling some long days at the ATA Show earlier this year. I thoroughly enjoy these late-night conversations with excellent people. Sit in and take a listen. And if you haven’t seen their films or are not familiar with their work, go check out the film, Beyond The Roar ; you’ll be glad you did.

EPISODE 260: Finding Purpose with Jana Waller and Jim Kinsey

On this episode of Gritty Bowmen we meet with Jana Waller & Jim Kinsey of Skullbound TV. We talk about how they met and fell in love and how they began Skullbound TV. Jana and Jim are two very down-to-earth people that love what they do and share a passion for hunting, conservation and working with wounded veterans.

EPISODE 259: MAINTAINING YOUR TEMPLE OF POWER!!! BACKCOUNTRY NUTRITION with HEATHER'S CHOICE

Hello friends, on EPISODE 251 of the Gritty Bowmen podcast we had the pleasure of hanging out with my friends Ryan and Hillary Lampers from the Hunt Harvest Health podcast to talk testosterone, gut health, diet and more. That same evening, Ryan and Hillary joined me in a discussion with my good friend, and backcountry food aficionado, Heather Kelly, the maker of Heather’s Choice Backcountry Meals. The 4 of us nerd-out on backcountry food and discuss our shared passion for good eating in the backcountry. Heather is a nutrition expert in her own right and she spares no expense in the creation of her backcountry meals and it shows in her products. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to interview both Heather Kelly and Ryan and Hillary all together on the same AWESOME episode of Gritty Bowmen. Check it out! If you like this episode and you want more like it, let Heather and Hillary and Ryan know how you feel. I hope this episode gets you excited to try some of Heather’s products and to start experimenting with some of your own meals at home.
