It took a while for it to start holding my attention, but once it did, I enjoyed it.

For the most part the book was OK, though it felt oddly paced. What looked like action moments got quickly skipped over. the basic plot is a group of teen girls uncover a smuggling ring and attempts by anarchists to infiltrate the US. the best part of the book is the description of life in the islan

This is part of Roy Snell's "Mystery Stories for Girls" that is somewhat of a series in that some of the same girls appear in every book. The protagonist in this one was first met in the previous book "The Thirteenth Ring". It takes place in Maine- Casco Bay near Portland. Betty Bronson is enjoying
