Richard Harding Davis was tall, handsome and a preeminent journalist from t he 1890's until his premature death in 1916. For a time his name was in our culture in the same way George Washington and Buffalo Bill were. A reporter, novelist and playwright, you should check him out, meanwhile, Van Bibbe
So far my favorite collection by RHD. I enjoyed the various stories that included Van Bibber from different angles and depth of inclusion. Even the stories without him were well executed, particularly An Unfinished Story.
