This was a sweet story, although it took a while to figure out where it was going, since "Uncle Titus" didn't really end up playing that much of a role. This was a delightfully charming story with Johanna Spyri's usual lovable characters. The setting of mountains in Switzerland is always inviting, and the message of trusting God to do what is best was a good reminder. I like Johanna Spyri’s View of God. I like how she betrays God as good, aware, and loving. This comes through in both Heidi and Uncle Titus.

Uncle Titus and His Visit to the Country is really more about Dora. Dora is the other title for this book. It is a beautiful story about an orphaned girl who finds a forever home. I really enjoyed it.
