I'm really enjoying this 1950s juvenile science fiction series. They are well written with strong protagonists and a good story line. What I enjoy is reading about the futuristic gadgets, some of which we have in some form today. And it's fun reading about all the places in the universe that's colon

This Tom Corbett book is set against a space race. Several people die in the story but "off-screen." The book is appropriate for young adult readers and teenagers, though the science is dated and the gender stereotypes match the 1950s when the book was probably written, yet the story was not offensi

Although this is a fast-paced adventure that will appeal to middle-school readers, it is a bit weaker than some of the others in the series. The plot is extremely contrived and not very believable. Some of the action takes place offstage. And then there's the usual sexism.

Another fine tale in this TV based series.
