Really enjoyed reading this. Love that it's intertwined with true history facts.

Read as part of the Second Western Megapack. It is a fictional account of the early days of Texas' drive to independence from Mexico. It was a great read. Historically, it was well researched and covered a time while Texas was in the early stages of it's uprising against Mexico and General Santa Ann

This is the second in the series covering Texas history. In the story, Ned Fulton, our hero, rides to the aid of the Texans defending the Alamo after seeing the approaching Mexican army. I thoroughly enjoyed this historical fiction novel. I'm not sure off the top of my head about how accurate some of the historical details were. The author created a fictional character and set him in the historical setting in order to tell the story from his perspective, which is common in the genre
