A decent read for anyone who'd love to be familiar with Greek mythology. It felt more of a children's book and a bit flat at times but it was thoroughly enjoyable so I didn't mind. I wasn't very familiar with Greek mythology before I picked this book but after I read it I could pick The Odyssey and

It is a good summary of mythology tales. My edition is superbly illustrated by H.J. Ford which made the reading very delightful.
It is true that some things of the myths are not described here. Because the book is addressed to a young public.
Andrew Lang does a great job of compilation and as a storyt

It's a good book, but the constant references to other topics relating to England get annoying as they have really no reason to be in there. Also referring to Odysseus as Ulysses, when you are talking about him in his Greek form but refer to him in his Roman is annoying as hell. But maybe thats just
