'The Heathen' is one of the greatest stories of friendship that I've ever read. The bond shared by the two characters was as powerful as the storm that prompted their friendship. Tuve que leer este cuento de London para la facultad y sinceramente me maravilló, la reflexión que deja sobre el final es sencillamente espléndida. That was a powerful story. I'm sure it was a parable about the events of the day, back in 1911, but it's equally appropriate for right now. I guess that kind of quality writing is what get labelled "timeless" — when a story can still work its magic literally a century after it was written.
