Exceeded my expectations.

Bower succeeds in totally developing her intriguing plot while fleshing out her characters, including some of the minor ones, in truly beautiful book.


I really loved this and it has stayed with me for the past month. B. M. Bower is a master at creating a sense of place and crafting characters that feel real. By the second chapter, I had tears in my eyes. Helen May's father is perhaps the ultimate hero, but Starr is a wonderful hero, too,
