A totally schlocky, silly book, but it was fun. Got a bit tired of the whole "silly little woman must be rescued by big strong man who is so much more rational than she is" thing but that was part of the schlock.

I did my thesis this semester on 1910s children's books about silent film, so I thought that something like The Perils of Pauline, a movie tie-in book for a silent serial, might be interesting. Historically, it is interesting, as a lot of padding is required to make the stunt-fest that was The Peril
