Peace on Earth, Good-will to Dogs
Eleanor Hallowell Abbott
Book Overview:
Eleanor Hallowell Abbott’s Peace on Earth, Good-will to Dogs is an emphatic Christmas story. It begins with the line, “If you don’t like Christmas stories, don’t read this one!” It should added that, being by Eleanor Hallowell Abbott, it contains much cuteness and a really emphatic use of exclamation points.

Is this a Christmas story? Well, sorta. Is it about dogs? Well, kinda. The central character is a young girl named Flamande, called Flame, which is as good a name for a character as I've ever heard. Flame loves Christmas, and she loves dogs, and she's begun to have warm thoughts about Bertrand, the
