Never have I read a detective novel with an investigator whose reputation and reception by others were so at odds with his poor performance in what’s actually on the page! Fairfax is constantly speaking his thoughts out loud, monologues on his cases to the witnesses who are helping him out barely a

Very strange case indeed

It was a good read. Never knowing what was coming next. Loved the characters in this book with unforgettable descriptions. The countryside he visits are very unique. All around good book.
