A dramatic old romance by a favorite author of mine. If you are in the mood for something delightful, full of charming old England, and a bit pathetic at times then you will enjoy.

If you enjoyed The Rosary by the same author, do yourself a favor and read this too. It has many of the same characters, although their relative importance to the story has changed. Lady Myra Ingleby is the center of this novel. It's as sweet and romantic as The Rosary.
