I wanted to read this because I loved the Rosary so much I wanted to read another book by this Author. The Rosary is still my favorite but I really enjoyed this book as well. I saved it for my plane ride out to Missouri. I found a great old copy of it from atticbooks and treasures.
I thought The Rosary to be a splendid book, but I read it so many years ago that I forgot the names of the personages. Only till the very end of the present book, I realized it was about a character from The Rosary, lady Ingleby. When she said Jane Champion instead of Jane Dalmain it clicked. It was

If you enjoyed The Rosary by the same author, do yourself a favor and read this too. It has many of the same characters, although their relative importance to the story has changed. Lady Myra Ingleby is the center of this novel. It's as sweet and romantic as The Rosary.
