It was interesting - marriage customs, Fenian uprising, family life, "camping" - in Ontario with a protagonist from New York City in the 1860s.

Clever yet sometimes annoying read. I scanned in places because I have entirely too many books going at the same time right now. But I will revisit this author because sometimes I enjoy a light dose of cleverness. Funny thing is, there were extremely wise kernels sprinkled throughout, as well. Pr...more
