I had no idea what to expect from this book, since the Kindle synopsis doesn't give much away! The title turned out to be fairly misleading - if you're after a story of daring hold-ups, black cloaks and masks, creaking gibbets, and midnight rides betwixt London and York, you may be disappointed....more

A wonderful Jacobite period romance, with an engaging anti- hero. Great repartee. Could be a movie.
