That Sunday dinner was a bountiful repast and Galusha ate more than he had eaten in three meals at his mountain hotel. He was a trifle tired from his morning's stroll and so decided to remain indoors until the following day. After the table was cleared Miss Phipps, leaving Primmie to wash the dishes, went over to the light keeper's house.

11/309 - Edna and I have been on this book since we finished Shavings. I enjoy the crazy characters and the atmosphere of this book, but I don't think I'm a true Joseph C. Lincoln fan like Edna is.

Quaint, pleasurable read with local Cape Cod characters from a bygone era. These turn of the 20th century books by Lincoln are always good for a relaxing read.
