After reading this, I have a clear understanding of why the Tsarist army would've looked at Communism and said: "That sounds great!"

Forgot to bring a book today when I had a very long wait in-between tasks in the morning and afternoon. So on to the library and went and picked up this title, apt for the occasion considering my outrage about my forgetting to bring a book, and delighted myself with this story, mainly a long soliloq

Fortunately I got my used copy of the Melville house edition of Alexander Kuprin’s, The Duel at a time when the asking price was very reasonable.
