This book started off very strong and kept my interest. The writing is good, the characterization also very fleshed out. We have three (or possibly four) strong characters. There is also a passing character similar to Gary in the novel Bird Box who becomes a loose cannon and wreaks similar damage. D

Strangers forced together in a deserted Chicago in a War of the Worlds situation.
