The Dave Dashaway series was another boy's book series in the same line as the Hardy Boys and Tom Swift. In fact, the Dashaway series competed with Tom Swift in storyline as well as in sales. The protagonists in this book are building an airship to sail across the Atlantic. A rival team is mentioned
