II. THE BUKE OF THE ORDER OF KNYGHTHOOD.

Although subjoined to "The Buke of Batailles," there is no evidence to show that it was written by the same Author. The original Work, entitled "Le Livre de l'Ordre de Chevalerie," is anonymous. A copy of it is contained in a magnificent volume, written upon vellum, and illuminated for Henry VII. of England, which forms part of the Royal collection of Manuscripts in the British Museum (MSS. Bibl. Reg. 14 E. II. Art. 5). The Work also exists in a printed form, although now of great rarity. . . Read More

If you want to know how medieval people regarded the institution of chivalry, this is one of the crucial sources. This book has not been translated into English since the late 15th century. This translation gets us closer to the books meaning back in the early 14th century when it was written.

An easy and quick read. I found this work of interest and an exciting window into the past's long-missed days. I found this book's contents helpful and inspiring. Overall, this work is also a good resource for the researcher, enthusiast, and anyone interested in the times and lives of those from thi

Well, I am glad I've finally read Lull, but I have a few major issues with this, well, issue.

1. The font choice is too decorative, "Calligraphic" and hard to read, especially their heading font.

2. Instead of translating the French, this is a "translation" of William Caxton's 15th century English tra
