I've always been fascinated by short stories, and this anthology reinforces my love for this genre even more. I can't think of a short story in this collection that I don't like, except for Dostoevsky's, but I've never been impressed by his dry writing style. Normally "best" is a bit presumptuous, b

I really liked this anthology. The introduction to this collection was interesting and helpful in gaining insight into Russian literature, the writing style, and the authors. Would recommend everyone to read the introduction if you are reading this book.
