গল্পের নায়িকা বেনিটা ক্লিফোর্ডের চেয়ে জেকব মেয়ারের চরিত্র বেশি জোরদার মনে হয়েছে আমার কাছে।

Had an old 1906 hardback copy of this book for years and finally got around to reading it. Classic H. Rider Haggard African adventure story that tick all the required boxes!
I love it. বেনিটার বাবার অর্থলোভী পার্টনার জেকব মেয়ার এর চোখ লোভে চকচক করতে থাকে। তাঁরা তিনজন সেই লোকদের নিয়ে হাজির হন সেই গ্রামে। এর পরই ঘটতে থাকে নানা রকম ঘটনা।
