Love and Logic is based on two rules. 1) We take good care of ourselves by setting limits without anger, lectures, threats or repeated warnings. 2) When children misbehave or cause problems, we hold them accountable in caring ways. The "love" in Love and Logic means that we care enough about kids to set limits and hold them accountable in compassionate ways. The "logic" is what happens inside of the child's head when they realize that their poor decisions result in consequences.
