Cassie, a wayward teen, is about to find out. One day, after she wraps up community service at a local hospital, she stumbles out of the basement of a spooky bookshop and into a story set on a devil's staircase in a remote Italian village.

Interview with Christopher Golden

On today's Dark Tome, a special interview with Christopher Golden, the award-winning, bestselling author of such novels as The Myth Hunters, Wildwood Road, The Boys Are Back in Town, The Ferryman, Strangewood, Of Saints and Shadows, and (with Tim Lebbon) The Map of Moments. He has also written books for teens and young adults, including Poison Ink, Soulless, and the thriller series Body of Evidence, honored by the New York Public Library and chosen as one of YALSA’s Best Books for Young Readers. Upcoming teen novels include a new series of hardcover YA fantasy novels co-authored with Tim Lebbon and entitled The Secret Journeys of Jack London. He edited the collection DARK DUETS in which we discovered the JOE R LANSDALE and KASEY LANSDALE team up, “BLIND LOVE,” and penned his own short story collection, TELL MY SORROW TO THE STONES, where we found the story we adapted for Episode 3 - “BREATHE MY NAME”. Interview with Joe R Lansdale & Kasey Lansdale

Today we interview Joe R Lansdale & Kasey Lansdale, a father and daughter writing duo whose work "BLIND LOVE" was featured in The Dark Tome: Episode 5. Joe R Lansdale is the author of over forty novels and numerous short stories. His work has appeared in national anthologies, magazines, and collections, as well as numerous foreign publications. His “Hap and Leonard” series of novels is a TV series on Sundance, with Seasons 1 and 2 now available and Season 3 recently greenlit. Kasey Lansdale has been writing and performing music since age 7. In July of 2013, Lansdale’s first anthology, “Impossible Monsters,” was released, and she has completed her first novel, “One More Than the Devil.” She also wrote the title track for the digital version of the novel Edge of Dark Water. Kasey Lansdale is a musician and you can hear her music at kaseylansdale.com We talk to Joe and Kasey today about East Texas, where they get their story ideas, working together in a father-daughter relationship, and how to work on your creativity and love every minute.
