Joseph Lincolns are books I remember checking out of my town's one room library as a young adult. My copy of this one was a goodwill find. Quaint characters, and Cape Cod of the early 1900s...gentle stories with some mystery and romance. Definitely old-fashioned, but still "good reads"!

I fell in love with this book and subsequent titles by Lincoln at the age of 12. As I turned out my mother was also a fan and had saved a set of the quaint stories that she read as a child.
Reading that same collection of books now, in my 60's, I feel the same way.
